Each time you see where the Spirit of God moves someone in the "old Testament" to perform a thing for God...it is a picture of the New Testament. The old law was based on the performance of the flesh and thus it was too weak to bring righteousness, so God scatters this picture of the work of the Holy Spirit through out the old. In the new testament we have only the thought of giving to the poor and of helping with the support of those who were given the full time responsibility of preaching the gospel...however, a minister was not required to take pay. He could take the upper road and offer it as a gift to God. Brian I am in full agreement with you.
