David Cerullo Builds $4M Home While Staff Suffers Layoffs

Yep, another one of those fleecing the flock moments. This Report from USA Today.

“A religious broadcaster is building a $4 million home in a gated, lakefront community in western South Carolina at the same time that the ministry has cut jobs and reset thermostats in its new headquarters.”

You gotta read this story people. This ministry is expected to reach revenue of 100 MILLION! Not only have Inspiration Networks laid off workers but they froze wages and canceled contributions to employee 401k’s.

“If they’ve got these kinds of assets, does the state really need to offer … tax breaks?” asked Don Weaver, president of the S.C. Association of Taxpayers.

That’s a good question Don Weaver. I am all for the tax exempt status to be withdrawn from non-profits.

CEO David Cerullo’s new house includes more than 9,000 heated square feet, along with a 2,000-square-foot screened porch . . . And it’s shaping up to be one of the priciest houses in western South Carolina. On Realtor.com, just two homes in the greater Greenville area are on the market for more than $4 million.

nuff said.

I am appalled at this latest news. When will the global Church start pointing the finger at TV and Radio Ministries to see the errors etc instead of continuing remonstrations against ‘the church’?

  2. Lafe says:

David is fleecing the sheep and I am sure that he is giving corrupt Biblical interpretation to justify his lavish lifestyle at the expense of the fleeced.
It is too bad that the fleeced do not have enough mother wit to flee from this charlatan but they will wait around hoping that they too, with itching ears, can similarly prosper.
The blind leading the blind! What else is new in the apostate church?
Shame on Cerullo. May he have no peace with that house and may he be under constant conviction by the Holy Spirit (assuming that he is open to such direction).

I have just sent a tithe 30 days ago under the most distressed times in all our lives, believing in your ministry. I hope this is a misunderstanding, not a misusing of your devoted followers money! Please let us know if you are really building yourself a mansion for your earthly benefit or for your devoted ones !I’ll be waiting to hear from you !

    Jim,
You seem upset. You should write David Cerullo ministries and let them know how you feel.

Jared, Thanks for your response. I thought someone from the ministry is actively reading our notes! If not what is the reason , feedback from followers? If that is in fact the case, let’s start our own evangalistic commune of only true believers in the core of spiritualistic recovery in our day and lifetime!

  6. steward says:

    Jim,
I doubt if anyone from that ministry would read our notes. The only thing they want to see come from us is money.

  7. ministry says:

it’s so sad that the personal finances of the church is being used by other people for his own interest. it should not be like that.

Cerullo is a money grubbing thief! His network contantly airs their “campmeeting” with the nonsensical ramblings of another money grubbing thief, Mike Murdock. This is on ALL THE TIME, sometimes for years, the same “infomercial” imploring you to send them your cash.
Cuts down on expenses when you air a re-run over and over. Inspiration Network is just a way to get cash, nothing biblical about it. Cerullo, Murdock, Coontz, Hinn, Tilton, Bakker, Swaggart, Meyer, Paula White, Copeland and far too many others to mention, all use religion to live their opulant lifestyles. Truly disgusting.

  9. Their time is coming. How would you like to stand before God and answer ,why you built a 4M dollar house and there are people going without food, housing, etc. The End will balance out. Let’s all turn our TV’s off and get on our knees,I am sure the out come will be a total turn around.Turn from your wicked ways and come back to the Father.

Jacque -Wow I hope you are finding our fellowship rewarding. Jackie and Joel and everyone Hi it is my Birthday August 11. I am 40 but I still cant spell. I share a birthday with the Gospel Rapper T-Bone the guy has great flows. Giving out Christian music on Itunes is a good ministry…Back to the point All christians are priest like T-Bone, Michael W Smith and Christian Jon Doe. We all can give where Jesus leads and we all can spread the joy of Jesus with our money freely.

All tithing systems are more restrictive than the giving taught in the New testement. Let me back this up with some scripture my favorite from the Old law.
You wont find this scripture preached or taught about much in Bible commentaries or from most pulpits. Deuteronomy 14:26 conserns the tithe. Its implications for us is that giving even tithes had some freedom and joy for the givers.
And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, … oxen or sheep or wine or strong drink, whatever your soul’s desire may be:
