The link below is to an article about couples who are living on the average income in their region. This specific link talks about a couple who tithes to their church, and struggles to make it, but yet they, “had to apply for food assistance for their children.” If you go to the next page of the article you can see the stats that they give a tithe to the church.

This just blows my mind away. What is wrong with these people? First of all, what a horrible testimony for Christ. Second of all, “if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” Third of all, how could this couple not feel guilty about this(but of course, they’ve been brainwashed into the Malachi 3 thinking). Fourth, this is a perfect opportunity for the government to stick their fingers into the church and control them. If i was the government, I wouldn’t allow churches to pass of their own to feed off the welfare of others. That’s what the church is for and that’s why we give to the church body. The government knows that the church claims non-profit in order to provide for the welfare of others, but soon, Satan’s gonna attack legislature to pass laws to control how this money is spent. If the church continues this poor stewardship then the lawmakers will pass laws like they did the “tithing bankruptcy” law, to prohibit the liberality of the church. Truthfully, I applaud the tithing bankruptcy law. Someone’s gotta stand up to biblical principles of debt if the church doesn’t do it. I could go on and on here.
